What is it? Yellowing leaves on particularly gardenias and citrus.
What does it do? Yellowing of leaves is a common sign of a plant with a trace element nutrient deficiency (lack of iron and magnesium). Cooler weather can further slow down the plants ability to take up nutrients.
How is it controlled? Fertilise with a complete plant food such a Garden Gold, Nutrigrow or Manutec's Trace Elements (soluable) to supply all the nutrients a plant needs. Fertilise gardenias with an acid plant food such as Phostrogen Acid Plant food for gardenia, azalea and camellias.
For a faster result use a foliar feed such as Eco-Aminogro which is absorbed directly into the leaf.
