´Sunnyside Up´(Coronidium elatum) Formerly know as a Helichrysum, the Coronidium ´Sunnyside Up´will add some brightness and cheer to any garden. Description A small shrubby member of the daisy family featuring soft, elongated, slightly hairy silvery/grey foliage. With a height of 1m and a width of about the same, this is a tidy and compact little bush. Masses of stunning white and bright yellow flowers on strong stems cover the bush from Late winter right through spring. These are a short lived perennial usually lasting only 2-3 years. Care Coronidium will tolerate a wide variety of soil types, but do not appreciate boggy conditions. They can handle full sun, part shade, coastal areas and drought which make Coronidium tough as well as beautiful. Spent flower heads should be removed to encourage additional blooms. Uses Excellent when planted in native or exotic garden beds, great for planting under or inbetween tall shrubs or even as a taller feature in flower beds. Coronidium are often sold as potted colour and will grow quite happily in pots and containers.
