Hello, I am looking for some suggestions for a screening plant to go along our fenceline. The fenceline is adjacent to a salt water pool and we are looking for the plants to grow to a max. of 4-5m (to block out an ugly house in the distance). Fast growing suggestions would be appreciated. We have tried Hakea's. Not keen on Leighton Greens. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi David There are many options available. Look to hedges that are not too stout in their natural growth (Viburnum/Photinia/etc) and go with naturally upright growers that will fill the space quickly and not impede access by growing too far out over paths etc. Look at "Goodbye Neighbours" form of Acmena (Lillypilly) that gives you a fast, dense native hedging plant that is also not prone to psyllid attack. Happy planting.
