The Bottlebrush Room, The Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan

Friday 3, 10, 17 & 24 February 10am-4pm

The Friends of the Botanic Gardens are pleased to introduce the first in a series of botanical art classes at the Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan.

This four-day course (one day per week over four weeks) will be run by renowned artist Barbara Duckworth, who has taught Botanical Illustration at the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney, for the past 15 years and at the prestigious Royal Art Society, Sydney. Mount Annan is one of Sydney’s best kept secrets for native plants and among its collection are many spectacular specimens of eucalyptus, wattle, grevillea, bottlebrush and more,

You can choose to paint a native plant, or choose your own subject matter. Students can work in graphite, watercolour and/or coloured pencils. The class is suitable for beginners and experienced students.
