BRIDESTOWE ESTATE “Business of the Year” At a gala function in Launceston’s Albert Hall on Saturday October 30, BRIDESTOWE ESTATE was presented with the CGU award of “BUSINESS OF THE YEAR”. The event, organised by the Launceston Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is now in its 11th year and celebrates the success of the positive business culture in Northern Tasmania The judges acknowledged Bridestowe’s focus on the creation of value added product ranges, contribution to tourism, engagement with local communities and respect for the environment. As summarised “ Following four years of a restoration programme with intensive replanting , landscaping, water and energy conservation programmes and value added product ranges it is again positioned as a global standard for fine oil and agritourism”. Robert and Jennifer expressed their thanks for all the support they had received from staff, community and all levels of the public sector in underpinning the turnaround and recovery of this iconic business. Bridestowe Estate received nearly 50,000 visitors in 2010-11 and was awarded “Exporter of the Year” in October and November 2010 by the LCCI and the Tasmanian State Government respectively.
