Autumn has arrived, and warm season crops such as tomatoes, zucchinis and beans are on their last legs. With the right care, there is still a chance to get another harvest.
Tomatoes – Cut back by 1/3 and remove any yellow or brown leaves, spray with Eco-Fungicide, feed with a complete slow release fertilser and water in with thrive, harvest or Comfrey tea. Mulch to reduce the chance of dirt splashing up onto the foliage.
Cucumbers, Eggplant, Zucchini, Beans, Capsicum and Eggplant may also be rejuvenated. Remove all unhealthy, yellow or brown leaves, spray with Eco-Fungicide. As with Tomatoes, feed with a complete fertiliser and water in with a liquid fertilser.
If your not going to attempt this process, rip up your summer veges and start planting Brassicas.
