Cordyline 'Red Fountain'
Description: One of the most remarkable new garden plants available. Colour, form and habit all go to ensure that this plant is one of the most asked for new plants available. Striking burgundy strap-like leaves help make it stand out in any garden, patio and mixed container. Very short stems and cascading foliage make Cordyline 'Red Fountain' a real winner.

Use: Stunning new grass-like plant that is very distinct in cascading form and colour. Great for use in perennial gardens, strong contrast in rock or pebble gardens, singularly in a large patio pot, or mixed in with a patio pot garden. Nothing like it!

Conditions: Cordylines have a sculptural form that is perfect for pots. They are drought hardy and long lived and make wonderful accent plants on the balcony or in pots in the garden. Tall pots are best for cordylines to show their fountain foliage to best advantage.

Repot every three years into a larger pot or just root prune them and replant into the same pot. Always ensure that you use a good quality potting mix.

Position: Full or filtered sunshine is best.

Troubleshooting: Keep the cordyline well watered in summer, just moist but never wet. In winter it should be kept dry. Apply a liquid fertilizer monthly if showing signs of stress. In winter the lower leaves may spot, but can be pulled off if they offend.
