Description: This hybridised variety of Italian Lavender heralds the start of the new season for lavenders as it is just about the first to flower. 'Winter Lace' is one of the best with very prominent soft lilac coloured ruffled bracts atop the darker purple far flower heads. In full flower, this is a real 'show off!'.
Growth Habit: 'Winter Lace' grows to about 70 x 70cm and grows best in a very hot sunny spot, with well drained soil that has had a little dolomite added to it. Once established. 'Winter Lace' requires very little water.
Pruning: Delightful aromatic foliage should be kept well trimmed. Cut off at least one third of the foliage after flowering. This will encourage further spot flowering throughout the year.
