With huge rich velvet red flowers the latest Geranium release from Highsun’s ‘Natural Selections’ range is set to take Australia by storm. ‘Big Red’ has been the number one selling Geranium in the highly competitive US market over the past 2 years.

‘Big Red’ is Australia’s first true deep red geranium. It is a Calliope Geranium and was developed by crossing normal zonal (upright) geraniums with ivy (trailing) geraniums which has resulted in an excellent growth habit.

The combination of show stopping large red flowers (with petals that do not shatter) and attractive dark green foliage, with a semi trailing yet mounded habit, makes ‘Big Red’ perfect for an eye catching display in the garden or on your patio in hanging baskets or pots.

Big Red is hardy in a wide range of climates and will produce large red blooms which resist burning in full sun. Plants have been tested extensively throughout Australia with very positive feedback.
