What's inside?

Summer is here with a burst of growth in the garden. It’s also holiday season and year’s end and a time for reflection after what seems to me to have been a short year! Where did it go?
Following a splendid RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Libby Cameron and Angus Stewart join me this issue in highlighting the gardens and plants we thought really sum up the enduring appeal of Chelsea: great ideas, flawless execution and really inspiring horticulture. It’s Chelsea’s centenary in 2013 and we hope you’ll think about joining us. Just in case, we’ve included our essential tips for getting the most from your visit. Incidentally, it’s also 100 years since my family started its involvement with Chelsea so Linda, Kent and I will be there, we’d love to see you too. You can check out the details of the England tour itinerary on our new website www.gardenclinic.com. Have a look, we think you’ll love our new look, and will enjoy perusing pictures of the beautiful gardens we visit all around the world. Set aside an hour or so, find a lovely seat in the garden and enjoy the good reading we have for you in this issue: there are beautiful gardens to visit and great people to meet.
