Welcome to a new era in Your Garden!

This new magazine proudly marks the 43rd year of the Garden Clinic Club and celebrates the growth of our independent publication.

Our mission has always been to support home gardeners and enthusiasts, highlighting the remarkable advancements science and technology offer for achieving practical, effective gardening outcomes. As award winning horticulturists, we remain grounded in time-honoured gardening techniques while embracing innovation. With this newly refreshed edition, we look to the future. Also, a huge thank you to our editor Tammy Huynh for her remarkable effort with this new magazine. We’re excited to introduce Tyler Howard, my young radio colleague and a passionate horticulturist, to our readers.

Sandra brings inspiration for brightening balcony spaces, while Roger Fox shares his expertise on creating private garden sanctuaries with hedges and screens.

In this issue, I delve into the latest advances in the Australian turf industry, which make selecting the ideal lawn easier than ever. I also share my love for Kurume azaleas, offering tips to help them reach their full potential. Our expanded ‘kitchen garden’ section now includes pages of delicious ways to enjoy your summer tomato harvest. You’ll find recipes for fresh salads, gazpacho, zesty salsa and classic spaghetti puttanesca. And for a bit of armchair travel, Brendan Moar transports us to breathtaking Bhutan.

As we continue into this new era, our commitment remains to provide unbiased, independent advice to both seasoned gardeners and the many newcomers inspired to garden. Our Garden Clinic Helpline, available seven days a week by phone and email for members, is here to support you. We’re always eager to help you all enjoy the enriching and rewarding world of gardening.
