Beauty Bush (Callicarpa bodinieri var. giraldii)
Description: a vase-shaped deciduous shrub, grown for its outstanding purple berries, which cluster along the stems in autumn, following
the tiny lilac flowers. The berries are set off by lovely golden autumn foliage.
Size: 1.5m x 1.5m
Cultivation: Beauty bush will grow in full sun or partial shade. Prune heavily when the berries have finished. Frost tolerant.
Special comments: berried stems are sensational in flower arrangements.
