How do you grow Eucharis lily; they are such exotic looking flowers?
ANSWER
A rare native of Columbia, the bulbs are planted in winter to spring in a shaded position. It is best to place them where they can live undisturbed as they will greatly multiply over time, increasing your display. We started with a few bulbs 15 years ago and now have over 30 flower spikes every year, sometimes twice a year. The stunning pure white flowers have a gentle fragrance. They can be grown in pots too but avoid them becoming waterlogged. Good luck finding them, few bulb specialists list them. Find a friend happy to share a bulb or two.
