Our feature gardens come from far afield this issue, with a romantic cottage garden filled with flowers just outside London, and a garden of homemade sculpture and wonderful subtropical plants in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
Inside these pages you’ll also meet some fascinating people: Professor Steve Hopper, who left his job as Director of Kew Gardens to return to Albany in the south-west of western Australia to further his research into the area’s incredible biodiversity; Lynne Walker, one of the dedicated volunteers who turned an Armidale woman’s collection of more than 800 roses into New England’s only public heritage rose garden; and Alex Elliott-Howery whose passion to avoid waste led to a unique relationship between a café and its customers.
